I had a request for some custom pens a while ago and sent them off earlier this month. Here they are, all 250 of them!! That was a fun order and I would love to do more!! * Hint, hint* :)
It may be hard to see details, but I think if you click on the picture, it will open a new browser and show a larger one.
I always try to save money when I'm shopping, whether it be for my own personal use or to resell on ebay. Sometimes I strike out and sometimes I find a product that works just like the name brand. I love it when the latter happens!!
For instance, I found a package of 12 rolls of assorted tape at Office Max at a really good price, so I bought it. When it came time to use it, when I was out of Duct (?) brand and Scotch 3M, I discovered how bad the Office Max brand is. Awful! It's so thin and not as sticky making it hard to work with. Also, it breaks in half sometimes just when pulling it from the roll! Because I use this stuff daily, it's important to have something that works.
Sorry Office Max, your tape doesn't make the cut in my book.
On another note... I use Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover to take my waterproof mascara off. Recently on a trip to Target I discovered that they make their own brand of eye makeup remover! After reading and comparing the ingredients...and noticing the better price, I bought it.
I think it works just the same...and...the bottle is bigger and costs less! Love the deal! Thanks Target!
So, sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay the higher price to get a better quality item. Other times, store brands will do just fine :)

Don't you just love when you buy something online when you think you can't find it locally, only to discover that you paid a whole lot more online than you would have paid just a few minutes from where you live?
Yeah, this just happened to me today. I bought something online last night and paid $435 which includes shipping and found out once it was too late (no returns) that I could have bought it here for about $125 less. Not to mention I wouln't have to wait a week to get it...I could have had it today!
I'm always looking for deals and really thought I was getting a decent price. Well...at least I'm getting it. -- Whatever it is I'm talking about.
*sigh*

This month, December, I've been frustrated because of the DSR (Detailed Seller Ratings) on ebay. It seems to me that some buyers either don't use them, or don't know how to rate their seller.
If you dont' know what DSR's are, they are the extra portion in the form of ★'s you can rate the seller on when you leave feedback after receiving your product. You are encouraged to fill in the stars, 1-5, based on Shipping Time, Shipping and Handling Charges, Communication and Item as Described. It is "confidential," although a seller can tell by looking at their chart if you left them bad ratings, this is true if you are the only feedback they received in a certain time frame.
I'm frustrated because I've always had above 4.75-4.85 ratings and just this month they have dropped in one area....shipping time! I believe it is because buyers are leaving me feedback when it takes 5-10 business days for them to receive a USPS First Class Mail package.
December is naturally a busy month due to Christmas and the Post Office being FLOODED with packages. However, ebay's guidelines clearly state: When rating sellers on shipping time, rate the seller on the time it took them to mail the item, not the time it took you to receive the item. You shouldn’t hold sellers responsible for delays in mail services, international custom delays or for the time it took for your payment to clear.
I find it unfair to be docked on my shipping time when about 95% of my sales get shipped the same day....sometimes even if the item was paid for at 8:00 PM my time!! Now...can you see why I'm upset?
I looked up the guidelines on ebay on how to leave proper DSR's which you can find here. I've copied the information below as well:
So please, when you leave DSR ratings for your seller, keep this in mind.
Thanks,
T.

Um....Yeah! I've been slacking on blogging. Also haven't been on twitter much lately.
Why??? Well I guess because I've been trying to get more things listed in my ebay store. It takes a lot of time to get good pictures and list items. I still have tons more to go though, at least it seems like it.
For the longest time I've had boxes of items that I bought to list on ebay just sitting here...staring at me. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I took advantage of the time off, got my camera and went to work. -- I love it when I list something that I've had for a while and then the next day it sells! This happened a few times in the last week ☺
Selling on ebay has been my part time job for almost the last year. I had to quit my "real" pt job due to a car accident. Ebay is what keeps me from finding another one of those jobs at a local coffee shop or something. I like being able to stay home, be on the computer and work when I want to :) Wait...who doesn't!?
Shopping is fun and when I get to sell the things that I find good deals on, it's a win-win. I'll keep doing it as long as I can, or as long as I need to!
So, you should come check out my shop. The most recent items I picked up that I'm SO EXCITED about are some Kiehl's Pure Essence Oils in Vanilla, Cucumber and Grapefruit. Don't you ♥LOVE♥ to smell good!? These are great deals...you should get some ☺
Alright blog world, all for now!
I just listed the GREAT rebate forms I mentioned in my last post. If you are buying food or gift cards...you NEED these rebate forms! Seriously!! Go get some!!!
These are the ones from Heineken and Budweiser... but no beer is necessary in some states!!! Just read the listing and see if your state is included.
I hope you find what you need.

I'll be getting my snow tires put on very soon! This is something I seem to be late on every year but I just can't procrastinate. Usually, it starts snowing, then I rush to the tire place to get them changed. That's not the way to do it because more people are doing the same thing and you have to wait what seems like forever to have it done.
I always feel bad for the guys that change the tires when it has been raining or snowing. They are out there working in the cold, touching the tires that are wet and they try to do everything so fast. I'll have to make sure that when I change my tires, I go on a dry day.
Be nice to the guys that work on your car, they work hard.

This weekend the weather took a turn and showed its true fall colors. I love the colors of leaves on the trees and to see the mountains covered, it's so beautiful!
Friday night was Halloween and I was sad that I only had one small group of trick-or-treaters, but that's besides the point. It started raining, just a little, but that was the start.
Saturday during the day the weather was nice, but then it got windy and rainy. I stayed home except for going to the Post Office to get some packages off.
Today it has been dull and rainy all day long. During the morning it was super windy and my chimes were going crazy! But I love them ;)
Anyhow, days like this I really don't want to do anything except stay home, watch movies or go online. That's just what I did today.
Our Daylight Saving time was this weekend, so I got an extra hour of sleep. But, since I only sleep as long as I need to, I was awake at 7:45 AM...not cool, for a Sunday. I got up, watched a movie, painted my toenails a really cool dark navy blue color and went online. Later I watched a some TV, then back online. I know...very productive.
I was slightly creative today, but not as much as I would have liked to be.
BTW, are you on twitter? Follow me :)

Um, hi! I guess I haven't posted for a while.
Sometimes I become obsessive about things. Like making stuff. I'll focus all of my energy on one thing and neglect everything else. (It's bad when I don't focus on bills!!)I just want to learn ;)
I've been wanting to try making jewelry with resin. It looks like so much fun! So....after reading so much about it online, I bought almost everything that I need to get going. I already have an idea for my first piece, but, I'd like to buy some time please. Then maybe I can actually get to it.
I have other [more important] things to take care of first, you know, like work, bills/balancing the checkbook, car repairs, expired car registration, custom orders (not complaining about these)...stuff like that. Then I can get started on my new project! Yay! I'll post when I finally make one...or a million of them...I hear it's addictive :)
A couple/few weeks ago I completed a project I had in mind. It is a necklace holder/hanger on which I painted a cupcake. It hangs on the wall and holds your necklaces or keys. I haven't decided on a price for it yet so it's not listed. When I do, it will go on esty! Here's a picture of it and I would ♥ your honest opinion of it!:
Oh, and while looking for that picture, I found this other one of Scrabble tiles that I painted on. They would make cute necklace pendants or magnets! They aren't listed either. The round one in the middle has a hole drilled through it for a necklace.
Must get up early...hope I can! G'night.
I'm back from my short trip out of town for a wedding. It was so lovely and the bride looked like a princess!! So beautiful!! I'm so happy for them!
I was upset when I got to the wedding and discovered that I left my camera battery on the charger and didn't have it with me. Therefore...I couldn't take ANY pictures!! Hopefully I get some from other people who were there.
The weather cooperated which was awesome, especially for Michigan. Salt Lake was nice and warm the day I left and when I came back, it had snowed and was in the 30s! Crazy weather.
So, back to work today even though I was exhausted. I would rather have slept today :) The Post Office was closed so no packages went out. They'll have to go out tomorrow.
Oh, and finally, I got around to listing the Strawberry Kool Aid that I have...so go check it out and bid!!! :o) Bid bid bid, because it's all I have!!
goo bai...

Are you on Twitter? I just registered tonight, it looks like fun and could be highly addictive!! Proceed with caution!
Isn't it just so confusing these days with so much technology available and way too many things for us to do online?! It can be so overwhelming sometimes. Maybe it's just me. Seriously though...you need a password for everything and they don't make it easy for us either. One place you need a number and six letters, another place you can't use numbers, the next site you have to have a CAP and lower case password. No wonder my brain is always in overload.
So tomorrow, technically today, I'm going out of town for a wedding! Yay! I'll be back on Sunday so any items bought from my ebay or etsy site will be packed up on Monday for shipment.
Oh, and if you're a ZZ Top fan, or just like cool looking stuff...you need to see these keychains on my ebay site. Apparently they were from some ZZ Top video. I think they are just really cool looking. If this link doesn't take you there, just type in "ZZ" in the search box on my ebay store.
I'm procrastinating, still need to pack! Bye!

It's been a rainy day here in Salt Lake City today, all day long. I love the rain, but if it's freezing, I don't like it.
So I went running around with my mom today taking care of car stuff and shopping. Well, I was starving, I mean, hungry, and wanted a Mexican bread pastry thing. We stopped at a bakery and they were so packed there wasn't any place to park, so...I made a parking spot.
We went in and got what we wanted. When we were pulling away in my car I heard a slight screech which I knew right away what it was....um, that was the big concrete block (which I knew was there)!
*Yeah,* I put a gash in my car :( So sad. I thought I was clear. Not so. Oh well, what do you do. Movin' on.
I wanted to take pictures of the new stuff I got that I'm planning to list on ebay today and never even had a chance. It was all that running around during the daylight hours. Sure...maybe...I could have made the time, but I didn't. So, it'll have to wait.
On my journey today I picked up some more really cute stuff. One thing I got though that I'm trying to identify is this cute little Asian cell phone strap. It has TVB on the packaging but I've looked online and can't figure it out.
Who is this cute little TV, computer, robot guy? Is he worth anything? Would someone buy him? How much? I don't even know how to list him! If you do, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks :)
Here he is:
The pictures are not so good, I just took them and it's regular house lighting at night. Any help on IDing and puting a value on him would be greatly appreciated!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It's really long...too long...
Anyhow, what do you think about zipper earrings or necklaces? I've come across LOTS of zipper pull things in black and white and want to make stuff out of them. The only things I've thought of so far are earrings, bracelets and necklace charms. What do you think?
It's too late now, and dark outside so I won't take a picture until tomorrow or Sunday. Then I can post them!
I've also come across some really cute little dessert erasers that are in the shapes of ice cream cones and strawberry tart things. Super kawaii cuteness! I'll be listing those on my ebay site. You can just go to my store and type in "eraser" in the search box within the next few days and they can be YOURS!! :o)
And one more thing I found was Hello Kitty Candy Glossy Lip Gel in strawberry and apple! Those will also be going on ebay soon, so go look for them too! Just type in Hello Kitty in the search box and it'll come up.
Yay! I love cute stuff :)

While driving with my BF down a Salt Lake City, Utah street today I saw something that I don't think I've ever seen, besides on TV. Well actually, never like this. There was a woman walking on the sidewalk with a gallon size bottle of Hawaiian Fruit Punch balanced on her head! What?! I've seen pictures of women in third world countries carrying containers of water, building materials and baskets on their heads...but Hawaiian Punch? No, never, and probably never again. Dang, wish I had a picture!
Earlier tonight I was working on a project and had some black paint left over. Normally I just trash it, but this time I decided to see if I could paint a cupcake, I've never tried before.
Not wanting to get out the colored paints and go that route, I painted a black cupcake with a cherry on top. It measures about 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Here's the picture of it:
I guess it's sort of a puffy cupcake, almost a muffin.
It is what it is.

Once again I've been making new things. I've always loved charms, and the same goes for stationery. Sooooo...I've put the two together. Yes, I've made pens filled with cute paper and I still love those, but here are some of my newest creations...Charmed Pens! This one shows a pen filled with red polka dotted paper and a charm featuring cherries and a star with beads.

No joke... Yesterday I was driving down a fairly busy road, two lanes in each direction and no center lane. There was a truck in front of me and a car on my side when suddenly....the youngest one of the few kids (ages ranging maybe 3-8ish) walking on the sidewalk ran into the road in front of the car next to me!!! OMG!!! Yeah, everyone stopped, but, hello!!!! Where are the parents!?!?
Can you imagine if the driver of the car on my side was distracted for a second? That's all it takes. So sad. Those older kids should have been holding the younger one's hand, if they must be out on the sidewalk like that on a busy road.
When this happened I was on my way to a birthday party for my brother. I was in charge of the Arroz con Leche (Rice Pudding) which turned out really good and there was just the right amount! I love when I make enough!
There are certain family members that always look forward to my rice pudding at parties or holiday gatherings. *My grandma loved it when she was alive.* It's sort of an old family recipe that my mom and I have modified over the years. *Shhhh* I can't tell what's in it!
Don't you love dessert?! Mmmmm, I do!
Oh, and by the way, my brother's party was nice ;)

Have a great Friday and weekend!

I got this video about etsy from The Cupcake Cuppy *cute stuff!* You should check out the video and then post the link to your blog!
Here is a pendant I made last night and just posted on etsy today. I think it's really cute, but am I the only one that thinks so? It's so minnie, rockabilly esque. I'd love to make more but want to know what the thoughts are about this one.

I've been thinking of fun things to make for my shops for Christmas. Yesterday I bought some stuff and tonight spent some time making jewelry items. Maybe sometime soon I'll be completing and posting them!
I also sold an earring frame today on etsy, yay! To make up for it being sold, I made two more necklace frames. Will try to take pictures this weekend and post them.
Off to bed...early day tomorrow.

While driving home from work yesterday, I saw something that I may never see again!
Driving behind a car which was behind one of those big multi-vehicle transporting trucks I noticed that there were cars stacked three high. This wouldn't normally be so strange, but it was driving down a road with 4 lanes and a center turn lane. It's not a wide road and not enough room for side parking. The sidewalk is also lined with tall trees which cover part of the road.
Well...I noticed that the top car was brushing the trees and I thought, "one of those tree branches can get caught on the cars, break and land on my car, so I kept my distance (more than usual). One by one, the trees kept bouncing back to their original positions and then all of a sudden.....**CRASH!!** Glass was flying everywhere! The tree won! It was like a shower from the top layer of cars falling on the car in front of me and the cars on the side of the truck!
I wasn't close enough for anything to happen to my car (or me) but pulled off the road into Jiffy Lube and went around all the glass.
At first I thought, "What is this guy doing driving down this road in something that big?! That's not smart!" Then I thought, "Poor guy, he probably isn't familiar with this area and had no idea this would happen."
I don't know what turned out of this, he disappeared from my view by the time I got around the glass and waited for traffic so I could get back on the road.
...and I thought I was having a bad day!
